 There is some new construction but most investment properties are already built. If you want to rent short term it's best to buy on the east side of A1A, because most people don't want to cross the road to get to the beach. There are plenty beachfront condos. The price goes up according to the view. Oceanfront-ocean view - pool view and no view. The condos on the west side of A1A tend to have more long term tenants, 3-6 months.
